The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota

Leveraging the use of scenography for developing a luxury brand.

The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota is in the thriving cultural district overlooking Sarasota Bay. Working from the client’s positioning statement, we highlighted three key words—Waters | Arts | Rings —to narrow the focus for brand development.

To then fully flesh out the brand’s visual design story, I created a scenography document which was the springboard for brand identity, collateral and menu design development, followed by advertising and newsletter design. This process demonstrates how successful it can be to bring together visual, textural, and sensory stimuli to create just the right emotional quality for a luxury brand.
