The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island – SALT

Branding a fine dining restaurant by tapping into its elemental features.

Salt, named for one of the sea’s most valuable resources, was a new fine dining experience. The restaurant featured more than 40 salts from around the world to add depth of flavor to coastal-inspired cuisine.

To brand such an elegantly elemental concept, I designed a geometric logo reflecting the periodic table symbol for sodium and used a properly seasoned color palette of red, black and white. The brand design, just like the restaurant, succeeds by using simple elements, artfully prepared.
